The Importance of Mixing Enemy League
The original approach was that, oh, John, this actor, he's done a lot of onscreen acting and he's been at creature suits. And it was just the wrong approach because you really have been animators animating their own version of what they thought of a real gorilla was. So when I came on, I said, well, we need to shift gears and we need to, everybody needs to like look at John in the suit. We need to identify what is about mixed enemy league and we needed to do that in our animation.
