The Controversial Resignation Honours List
When a prime minister leaves Downing Street, they are able to nominate those who they think have served public life. The list was first expected to run to about 100 names and then cut considerably in size after the cabinet office instructed that that would take place. There has been pressure on Rishi Sunak to block some of the more controversial appointments - including Boris Johnson's nominated his father for a night hood.
