The NHS Can't Live Without the Private Sector
I don't have any problem at all with using the private sector to help deal with the need for services. What would worry me is if you're cherry picking particular bits that you're tendering out and you lose the integrity of the services. That's a different thing. You lose some of those synergies that are important. But I do think that what annoys me is when we are unable to talk about reform, except in the context of the private sector. The only thing you could possibly do would make it worse. When did progressive parties accept that there was no kind of progress that could possibly be made? It seems to be completely self-defeating.
