Is There a Difference Between Applied ML Engineer and Researcher?

There's a big difference between applied ML and research workflows. As a researcher, you want to do things that no one has done before,. That's like, that's where you get paid for. And if you're an applied ML engineer in reverse,you want to be working on the well-end understood well-lit passes. They are very much in contradiction with each other. So I don't expect that you're going to have a single unified framework that does a good job at both of them.
