The body's way of asking for help is through anxiety. Tension is always a clue that you are resisting, falling into autopilot and reacting in trance. Becoming aware of that tension will help you step back and become the observer of it so you can begin to change your approach. But remember if you struggle to be aware of your feelings, you will believe you are your feelings. For example I am angry, it's very different to I'm aware there are feelings of anger. The more you accept anxiety as something you are experiencing that may have messages that will create positive change  the quicker you are ill.
