Seaweed Is a Premium Food Product in India, Says Gabriella
Most of the seaweed harvested in india at the moment is used as a jelling agent. But gabriella thinks she can convince local restauraters to pay a premium. Seaweed absorbs a lot of nutrients from the water, and so will also absorb heavy metals should it be in the water. restaurants currently import seaweed from other parts of asia at a really high price,. So buying seaweed locally is cheaper for them.
