The Importance of a Skilled Teacher
Schopenhauer said that everybody, with their intellectual life, is doing a juggling act already. And so what would be bad as far as education would be going was to treat them like a tabularassa and bash down everything they're doing. For me, the way i did that was, I'd never liked the radio, at least after i really liked it when iwas like, in sixth grade or something. But when i actually, in high schoolish, sort of took control of my own musical inspiration, it would be going really deep into one artist at a time. It's just a matter of what actually amounts to you building an intellectual edifice.
