The Yankees Policy on Facial Hair
The New York Yankees have a policy that players can't be traded unless they keep their facial hair. The team has had the policy for more than 30 years and it started with Steinbrenner's arrival 50 years ago now. It would be hard to get rid of because there are some Yankee fans who see themselves as an exception, like Garrett Cole or whatever. But what if one player said he was not going to shave? That could turn people against them pretty quickly.
