The Indus Valley Civilization
The first ancient civilization in india an and this is what we customarily call the indus valley civilization. The actices of plant and animal domestication and farming slowly spread westward through much of india, especially into the indo gangetic plain. And they grew crops like rice, millet and beans in the hot season, and then wheat, barley and peas in the cool season. It reached its height around the period from around 26 hundred b c to 19 hundred b c.
