CHAPTER

The Metamorphoses

In Kafka's short story, The Metamorphoses, the protagonist Gregor Sansa wakes up one morning from uneasy dreams transformed in his bed into a monstrous vermin. One can also experience recurring nightmares which may or may not be caused by traumatic experiences. Trauma therapy can support one's healing process and help resolve some of the everyday challenges such a person faces. Encouraging verbalization and exploration of the trauma can be cathartic.
