The Impossible of Specialization

The idea of an arbitrary term limit on that guy and replacing him with just the next person, Joe Schmo, it's just like jury selection, right? Just random. And then it starts to become less like selecting a jury and more like selecting a judge. I mean, how do we select judges? Well, by a long, involved, rigorous, and meritocratic project. That's what the indispensable of specialization creates. As the end of its logic is a meritocratic attitude, which arises out of practical need and promotes the most effective possible individuals.
