Bail Reform Is a Real Problem
This case is a perfect example of how bail reform can be used for political reasons. The pendulum has been swinging in favor of loosening bail requirements more and more, until the point they include people charged with violent crimes. But when it swings back, that's going to be bad for some people. We all thought that bail reform was thing, but it's possible it goes too far. It lets people like this out on bail.
