The First Measurement of the Speed of Light

The first measurement of the speed of light being not infinite didn't come using a very fast clock. Instead, it came from using really, really long distances to go over or use a really accurate clock. A danish astronomer realized that light bouncing off of jupiter's moon, io, could be used to measure the speed oflight.
