How Much Pantothenic Acid Is in the Body?

Free pantothenic acid is only 3 to 8% of what's in blood. In rats, the highest concentrations are in liver, kidney, and heart. Skeletal muscle has the highest total amount simply because there's more skeletal muscle than there is of any other metabolically active tissue. A human has about 4.5 grams of pantotenic acid stored in the body.
