How to Diagnose Hypothyroidism
For 99% of patients, the TSH combined with the free T4 gives you a great power to diagnose hypothyroidism. Doctors don't ask for T3 levels when monitoring patients when hypothyroidist is and they should be. If the T3 levels are in the lower end of the normal range or even below the normal range, something must be done.
