The Importance of Resistance Training for Young Adults

The age associated to declines in blood sugar control and the increased insulin resistance is really probably more a reflection of under use of your skeletal muscle, not just the fact that you're chronologically older. You can make young people insulin resistant with immobilization studies just like you can make older people insulin resistant if they're not making healthy lifestyle choices. The onus is upon you now to take this information, to act upon it, make sure that you're doing resistant training three or four days per week. And we'll catch you on a future video down the road.
