Is There a Consciousness?
Am says he rejects the view that consciousness is what reality is, and then when you look at it, it looks a certain way. He thinks people should think of phenomenal experiences as constitutively involved systems outside the brain - like the rest of the body outside the brain. Am: If we don't have the right activity happening in the brain, if you've got external events or whatever taking drugs for example, doesn't make any difference to our experience.
