The perfect person myth is something that people enter into the dating sphere with. It's a myth because in one sense, you always marry the wrong person for a few reasons. The purpose of marriage is to make you someone who loves like God does, love somebody who is at times broken and will disappoint you. You date out of fullness, not out of emptiness.
