In one study, runners sat in an infrared sauna for 30 minutes after workouts and another group did not. After three weeks, the people who used the sauna were able to run 20% longer than those who did not use it. In this case, we have a few small studies that have shown that infrared saunas can enhance recovery after both strength and endurance training.
