The power of that, of the crime attack, is always dependet on the salience of crime as an issue in people's real lives. In republican advertising, more often than not, crime is a proxy for race. Just as imigration and boder caravans and all an terrorism was int er bush, it is a way to scare the living shit out of white people. Crime unites their base and divides ours. And they're trying to shift the tone there. This adds carcey shit ot to me.
