The Importance of Reading

The book is about a young woman who wants to find out more about men. She reads A Room with a View, which has an unexpectedly strong impact on her. The great epiphanies occur in Italy because there she can deal with these forces of beauty and truth and love. It's kind of funny but it's also tragic as the author tries to maintain this sense of being completely compromised by the presence of Dante.
