The Impact of Antarctica on Climate Change
Antarctica is affected by climate change. The ice that melts from the Antarctic ice sheet actually causes more sea level rise around the north part of the planet, the north pole and near the south. That's basically because of an effect of gravity. When you lose ice around Antarctica, the water around it doesn't have such a strong gravitational attraction. It sinks locally close to Antarctica when you lose ice from Antarctica so that water then gets distributed around the global oceans. People would really hear about it.
