The Dollar Will Continue to Be the World's Reserve Currency
The dollar is currently trading at a 20-year high in nominal terms. David Frum says everybody except the United States ought to be happy with it. The US gets some advantages from everyone using its reserve currency, but that tends to push it up. He says if U.S. policymakers were looking at this more rational way, they might see a reason to bring the dollar down.
