Snowflakes Are Crystals Like Diamonds and Quartz

Flowing particles are tiny specks of dust or other solids floating around with the water molecules. When it's cold and moist they make great friends because they give the water molecules something solid to latch on to. And then as soon as one locks on another one locks on to it and it forms a crystal. Snowflakes are crystals too, just like hard kind of crystal diamonds and quartz They grow molecule by molecule into beautiful patterns. It's amazing to think about all the different patterns that snowflakes might make.
