Is There a Self in the World?
The self is a useful construct that helps me negotiate the world, but it's not something kind of pre given. And i think that comes out of the predictive code, in a predictive process inside, too, where just about everything about ourselves turns out to be some kind of a, some kind of construct that is good in there. So that sort of buddhist picture, or that kind of soft self picture, it is one that i'm very, very much attracted to.
