Jesus is the final word and he didn't mess around, you know. He came as representing God's holiness and justice. Jesus named human brokenness when he saw it, but he always matched it with a word of grace and of embrace. And those two are summed up in the words spoken in the cross as our sin is judged and forgiven in the same moment. That's who's talking to us. Are we listening?
