What Is Missing for Black Kids in the United States?
Every child, regardless of your race, will have a tape that plays in their head about what they can and can't achieve. My mother went to extraordinary lengths to try to uphend our perception of what it meant to be black. And by just people like us who are doing amazing things with their lives, we began to slowly believe too. If i sent my kids back, i don't even know who they would stay it just wouldn't worry.
