Do Black Holes Ever Form Without a Neutron Star?
Do black holes ever form without a neutron star? Is it possible that sufficient material would be able to come together? Or if it did, would it form a star that would then live a life that would then collapse in on itself. It just all depends on how big the star is that's lived before. So something like the sun won't make a black hole. It will make what's called a white dwarf which is again the baby sibling to a neutron star.
