Aristotle's Definition of Freedom
Aristotle defines happiness in similar terms as I am framing the notion of freedom. In other words, a free person is someone who has entered into the logical space of reasons. Part and parcel of this movement from passivity to activity is a willingness to revise one's activities where justifications are found wanting. The function of the human being is activity of the soul in accord with reason or not without reason.
