The Changes to the Lockheed 10E Electra
Originally, she planned on flying a 29,000 mile trip or just shy of 47,000 kilometers. Changes were made to this Electra, including increasing the amount of fuel that it could carry. The plane was unable to take off due to a ground loop there in Hawaii and was badly damaged as a result.
