Are We Going to Have a Cold War?
Professor Raquel Varela: The pivoting of some African countries towards China and strategic partnerships could be a flashpoint. We are, of course, always seeing this perpetual anti Chinese sentiment from American leaders. And so we have something of a new cold war starting with with China right now but it's something that I've been thinking about in terms of the pivoting of these resource rich countries away from their previous, you know, colonial masters and current neo colonial masters.
