When I was taught biology it was only assumed that life could thrive. So they have to broaden the definition not that life depends on the Sun but life depends on an energy source. And then the last one is the basic building blocks of life like some kind of environment for life to make its you know to carry out its metabolic processes and to use. All of those things are what we look for when we're looking for a planet that could be habitable.
If scientists discovered that we are not alone, what would they do with that information? Neil deGrasse Tyson and Chuck Nice learn about the search for life, habitability around M stars and more with astrophysics professor and author Aomawa Shields.
