The Release of Methane From Non-Frozen Soils
Non-frozen soil is an incredibly good storage mechanism for carbon. In fact, soils hold something like three times as much carbon in the soil and I'm talking about non-frozen soils as is in the atmosphere right now. We don't understand how soil carbon could be released if temperature exceeds certain thresholds.
