There are renewed proposals for the expansion of this kind of surveillance in schools. Many of these things have been proposed, and credibly proposed, by my companies who sell the stuff. There was wide back lash, including much of the civilian board ofaxon resigning because he had proposed it to them. And so when i paint this picture, it might seem as if i'm being hyperbolic, but many of these things already exist and are widely deployed at schools.

Paris Marx is joined by Chris Gilliard to discuss the push to expand surveillance technologies in schools during the pandemic and in response to school shootings, and why they’re making life worse for students without addressing the problems they claim to solve.
