Is Conquest Not Paying?
The declining benefits from a security or economic standpoint of conquest undercut reasons for war. I think this is a reason why we've had fewer interstate wars because of the declining benefits, not that everyone in a sense got the memo. The idea of Ukrainian state will be stronger if not forever for a long time as a result of this invasion. So that just goes to the point that conquest is difficult and not doesn't necessarily pay.
