Are Women Researchers More Newsworthy?

The book explores the idea of newsworthiness, and how that goes into choosing who is going to come on and speak. In experiments, people express more interest in women researchers than men because they don't see male researchers as being as newsworthy. It could also be that journalists would prefer to speak to more non-white sources and more women, but just don't get the opportunity or don’t have the access or don't have them in their network.
