How to Transfer Knowledge to Long-Term Memory

In terms of transfer, what we're trying to do is give people abstractions. So it's like a very particular kind of thing that we want to have in their long-term memory. But you can only give people abstraction through giving concrete examples and making clear how different things connect to each other. It's a larger structure that you give them by providing them with things that are more concrete. You need to be concrete first as much as possible. That's not always possible, but it's helpful. And then I would say that's enough. Don't overload your working memory.
