The Electron Microscope - My Number One for the 30s

Invented in Schiller Park, Illinois, on April 6 of 1930 by James Alexander Duar. He was a Canadian born baker from the Continental Baking Company. Twinkies were named after some billboard that somebody saw that said twinkle toe shoes and they liked that. But during World War II, bananas were rationed. The company couldn't like make the banana filling for them anymore. So they switched over to vanilla cream. And it turns out that the vanilla cream is way better than gross banana cream. It's what they stuck with. And here we haveTwinkies as we know and love them today.
