Israel's Supreme Court has the power to overturn any law passed by the Knesset, regardless of prior precedent or legislative intent. Reforms would give Parliament a bigger role in the selection of judges as well as the power to override decisions that overturned their laws. The High Court would also be forced to apply existing law to cases rather than just ruling based on its own reasonability test.
