How Stitch Fix Uses AI and ML to Personalize Customers
Stitch Fix has a model called latent style. It's like a 64 dimensional space where we have all the merchandising and attributes that we have learned from merchandising plotted in that 64 dimensional space. And it's also plotted based on the customer input of what styles they like and what they not like. Then we have a generative AI model from which we have built on our own, which is around outfits. The outfit model is what we use to produce experiences which we call complete your looks or trending for you. So going back to our core styling, finance, merchandising, all of those areas are underpinned by ML models.
