A Brief History of Telegraphy

During the second half of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, cables were laid under the sea to create a world wide telegraphy network. By the 19 twenties, with this punch paper tape, they'd invented a system calld regen which regenerated the signal without any human intervention. There have also been similar systems involving holes being punched into paper strips.
