The russian not only wanted to join nato, they cooperated with the west through the early war on terra, and even as late as the disastrous intervention in lipia. And so in a way, i guess, you know, nata strategists have spent 20 years preparing for a hostile russia, and now they have one. So this is one of many ways in which, i think, tragically, this war is giving nata what it's wanted this whole time. In some kind of deeper existential sense,. this war, is really of war that validates natie.
