The Lord Will Avenge Himself on Babylon
In Jeremiah chapter 6 verses 22 to 24, thus says the Lord, Beholder People is coming from the North Country. A great nation is stirring from the farthest parts of the earth. They lay hold on Bow and Javelin; they are cruel and have no mercy. We see the same thing in the prophecy that follows. This is again a reworking of a former oracle that we find in chapter 49 verses 19 to 21. What Babylon brought upon Edom, Babylon herself will suffer at the hand of another nation.
