The word that i'm thinking about, that you've said a couple of times is being flexible. I think it comes down to this, you need a plan, and you need be willing to adjust your plan as needed. Let me give you an extreme example: My son had a seizure like sodes while we were on our way to Alabama for a work event. He hand up getting checked into vanderbilt an we were at vanderbilt for three days,. including across his second birthday and we had to cancel his birthday party. Things can change. You have to be willing to change. Prorties came into play. And my kids are more importannt than bithday

Key Points
Establishing priorities moves you from a place of feeling like a failure to a place of feeling real success.
Most of us are clear on our fixed priorities, but we’re less intentional about the flexible priorities that tend to be more practical in daily life.
Consider establishing priorities through the timeframes of seasons, weeks, and days.
Having clear priorities helps you not only be productive — but makes it easier to turn it off when it’s time to stop.
