The History of Balboa

Balboa discovered the Gulf of San Miguel in September 1513. He would tame a pair of regions under the rule of the Cacicas, Ducea, and Tumaxo gathering gold as well as pearls. Balboa reportedly had more than 100,000 Castellanos, or Dublas, in gold, not to mention the pearls. After returning home with treasures, Balboa elected to take a different route for his return journey - fighting numerous battles along the way.
