The National Rifle Association is one of the most effective single issue mass organization campaigns in American political history. Politicians don't live in fear of the n r a donating or not donating, they live in fear that it will mobilize its members to send letters, make phone calls and even show up at their office. In other words, far from being another money driven lobbying group, the n rA is actually one of the best organizations for gun control advocates.
