I would rather just be zero ads. We are seeing more and more of that. Having a payment tier for slightly less ads, but not zero ads seems like you have too many ads. This is also the most public company thing I've ever heard where it's like, we were only making $4 billion a year on ads. So here we go. And they want to make $1. They want to turn that number up. But if you have so many ads that people would pay just to have less ad, but still have some ads, that seems kind of excessive.
This week Marques and Andrew talk about a Tesla swimming pool that popped up near a few Superchargers, the new Polestar EV set to come out in 2026, and Apple adding some ads into a few of its apps. Then they did into the main topic of the week: the new Android 13 update. They explain why it's a fairly minor update that you should still update to as soon as you can. This is a pretty classic Waveform episode!
