Teaching Literacy and Numeracy Tests in Schools
Rick Steves: The literacy and numeracy test is preventing teaching students from being able to graduate. Despite that, it seems like the idea is to continue on with the test. He says when Julie Gillard became Education Minister in 2008, she was committed to creating schools that prepare our kids for success in jobs and in life. She said if we are truly serious about having the best schools, we need to have the best people become the best teachers," he says.
