Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence

I think of deep learning as sort of a subset of machine learning. The models in learning are inspired by the way the brain works. And so these models tend to be a little bit more complex, but they're good at learning patterns and recognizing a treds. i'm working with a client right now that's in sort of industrial chemistry and material science. Er we talk about, for that specific industry, where is deep learning at, and what are wat what are business problems that can be approached with deep learning?
