Introduction

We don't really have a tradition in ireland of outdoor dining. Not like they do in spain or in italy or france. In limerick city centre is often empty. It's been magnificent the past few weeks, becaus s you've got entire streets restaurants and tables and chairs outside. And then what this has done as it's had a psychological impact on anyone who's watching. So not only have you got people eating, sitting down in restaurants outside, but you've got people who would normally just walk through the street are now magnetized because there's other people there.
